WAF-Kenya delivers an end to end pathway equipping women and young people with market-driven skills, financial and market access and essential reproductive health services to unlock economic opportunities and build dignified, meaningful, and sustainable livelihoods .
We seek to enable 100,000 women and young people to access and build sustainable livelihoods within a decade with a focus in rural and low-income communities in Kenya.
ABOUT US
From access to health education, skills training, and financial support, WAF-Kenya is creating access to economic opportunity and dignified livelihoods for women and young people in vulnerable communities to improve their lives and their families- including the last mile
WAF-Kenya works in Kenya low low-income communities and rural areas . Currently our work is spread across Nairobi,Homabay, Siaya and Migori counties .
We provide market-aligned vocational and sustainable agriculture training, including business management training, financial literacy for women, and young people. (Training over 50 annually)
We facilitate access to affordable capital through seed input and micro-loans through sustainable Village Savings and Loan association model . In the near future, we plan to start linking women and young people to fair, reliable markets through a digital platform.
We provide comprehensive Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) education and referral services, combined with critical life skills integrated in our trainings ensuring they have control over their bodies ,health decisions and time which is crucial for sustained education, business and work.
